50 Cent (born Curtis Jackson) is an American actor, rapper, producer, and entrepreneur, coming from New York.
He is one of the current richest rappers in the world, despite the discovery stories on the prosecution that’s been recorded against him, and the determination to file for bankruptcy. Early Life
Curtis AKA “50 Cent” Jackson was born in Queens town, New York, on the 6th of July of1975. He was brought up single handily by his mother, Sabrina, who was by then a drug dealer. When she passed away, the rapper moved to live with his grandparents.
Jackson was just 12 when he started selling drugs. He would go out into the roads and spend time slinging drugs while his grandmother though he was engaging in after school programs.
50’s been caught multiple times, the very first being when he made the mistake of taking drugs, drug money, and his gun into school. The school’s metal detectors found him out.
Jackson was caught twice more, once for peddling cocaine to an undercover police officer, and the second illegal substances and a gun in his home.
Career
50 Cent started rapping in his basement, and was influenced by Jam Master Jay, on how to write good songs, structure bars and build choruses, etc.
His first-ever music feature was within the collection ‘Shut ‘em Down’ by Onyx.
Jackson was contracted to Columbia Records in late1999, and a year following that, he released his première album, ‘Power of the Dollar.’ One of his huge breakthroughs came when he published the single “How to Rob,” which earned the attention of the likes of DMX, Jay-Z, and other influential artists at the time.

In the same year of his music album’s release, Jackson was targeted by an attacker outside his home and shot nine times.
