Satan shoes

Nike shoe company is suing the creators of a pair of so-called popular “Satan Shoes” propelled by rapper Lil Nas X for a copyright infringement.

The black and red-colored Nike Air Max 97s, customized by quirky art brand MSCHF, emphasize a pentagram – a symbol of Satanism – on top, and it is said that each shoe contains just “one drop” of human blood in the sole.

The trainers – revealed with Lil Nas X on March 2021 – also feature a reference to the bible verse of Luke 10:18 on the side, which says: “He replied, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.”

According to the XXL Magazine, the trainers sold out in less than a minute when they went up for over $1,018.

Nike was very quick to distance itself from the release, saying it did not have anything to do with the custom-made shoes, amid concerns the sportswear titan could be seen to be endorsing Satanism.

The organization now wants MSCHF to stop selling the custom shoes, which bear its famous swoosh emblem.

In the claim, Nike says: “MSCHF and its unlawful Satan Shoes are likely to cause confusion and dilution and create an inaccurate association between MSCHF’s products and Nike.
