About Six Flags Great America
Six Flags Great America is a theme park located in Gurnee, Illinois. Established as Marriott’s Great America in the year 1976, the property became part of Six Flags after the successful purchase in 1984. The park boasts of more than 30 rides, with 14 being just roller coasters. There is also a 20-acre water park adjacent to the property.
Some of the rides include American Eagle, Bahama Mama, and Bubba Tubba, BATMAN The Ride, Bouncer, Buccaneer Bay, Dare Devil Dive, Condor, Giant Drop, Goliath, Hurricane Bay, Hurricane Mountain, King Chaos, Orbit, Revolution, Roaring Rapids, Tornado, Surf Ride, Velocity, X Flight, among others.
