On March 1st, 1978, in Dallas, Texas, Jensen Ackles was born to Donna Joan Shaffer and Alan Ackles. Jensen is three years younger than brother Joshua and seven years older than sister Mackenzie. Even though Jensen had planned to study sports medicine and become a physical therapist, Jensen moved to Los Angeles to launch himself in an acting career. He was born to his father named Alan Roger Ackles, who is also an actor.

For education, he joined Texas Tech University and then decided to move to LA to pursue his acting career in 1996. Jensen had many guest roles on TV before becoming a lead star in a TV show.

Since the young age of 4, Jensen focused on an acting profession in 1996. Since then, Jensen appeared in several guest roles, such as in “Mr. Rhodes,” “Cybill,” and “Sweet Valley High.” In 1997, he appeared in “Days of Our Lives” as Eric Brady, which nominated him for several awards. After that, he made his appearance in other shows such as “Dark Angel,” “Smallville,” and “Dawson’s Creek.”
In 2005, Jensen was cast as the older brother Dean Winchester on Supernatural and has starred in all the episodes to date, now on its 15th season. Jensen is also cast in an episode of the sixth season, Weekend at Bobby’s and one of the seventh seasons, The Girl Next Door, as well as season eight’s Heartache. In the tenth season, Jensen directed Soul Survivor, and in the eleventh season, The Bad Seed.
His big break in movies came when Jensen was cast as Tom Hanniger in the remake of the 1981 cult movie, “My Bloody Valentine,” in 2008, called “My Bloody Valentine 3D”.
Ackles gave his voice to Jason Todd in Batman: Under The Red Hood, Gibson in the video game TRON: Evolution, and Kyle Madigan in the Parasite Eve spin-off, The 3rd Birthday, which was set to be released on March 29th, 2011.
